Externships

 We welcome externs to join us for one or two weeks during the summer circuit in Traverse City, Michigan.  

 Externs will get a brief glimpse into the lives of AA rated show veterinarians.

 Things externs may encounter while with us are:

• Lameness examinations
  

• Pre-purchase/pre-lease examinations,
  

• FEI jogs and classes

• Ring emergencies
  

• Colic examinations 
  

• Joint injections 
  

• Diagnostic imaging
  

• Acupuncture
  

• Massage
  

• Ophthalmology exams
  

• Cold laser therapy
  

 By no means is this a comprehensive list! Rarely do we know what kind of day we will have at a show, so

 externs will get to see and experience a large variety of clinical medicine.

 While students in all years of veterinary school are welcome to apply, students going into their 3rd and

 4th year may benefit the most from externing with us!
